Darian Chelini, a wedding photographer, surprised many after planning and hosting her entire wedding in just seven days. The unconventional wedding story quickly went viral after she documented the experience in a TikTok series, giving viewers an inside look at the whirlwind planning process.
Chelini revealed that when she began planning the event, she had no venue, no dress, and no wedding planner. Despite the challenges, she successfully organized an intimate ceremony that focused more on personal meaning than traditional wedding expectations.
A Change in Perspective
Chelini said the decision to move quickly came after she attended a wedding in Mexico for work. The experience prompted her to rethink her own approach to marriage and wedding planning.
Previously, she had gone viral online after predicting that she would be married within a year. The moment eventually became reality, but in a way few expected—through a wedding organized in only a week.
Choosing a Meaningful Location
The couple eventually secured a venue in Leavenworth, Washington, a Bavarian-style village that held special personal meaning for them. Rather than inviting hundreds of guests, the couple kept the ceremony intimate with just 14 attendees, focusing on close family and friends.
Chelini ordered several wedding dresses overnight and chose her gown while trying them on at her parents’ home shortly before the ceremony.
Breaking Wedding Traditions
The couple intentionally broke several traditional wedding norms. Instead of preparing separately, they got ready together on the morning of the ceremony, emphasizing partnership rather than secrecy.
After signing their marriage license, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated in a unique way—by riding an alpine rollercoaster while still dressed in their wedding attire.
Rather than hosting a large reception, the small group shared dinner together and walked through town, enjoying a relaxed celebration with loved ones.

Chelini later explained that the experience helped her step away from the expectations of the wedding industry and focus on creating something meaningful for herself and her partner.
